Who knew it would be so tricky? Anyway, in true techie fashion, they’ve decided to open-source a whole bunch of their code and artwork. This includes their beloved Pirate Nation game and other nifty tools they developed. Avast, mateys!
The Pirate Nation Continues… Sort Of
Don’t throw your pirate hats away just yet! The independent Pirate Nation Foundation has stepped in and taken the wheel, ensuring that the PIRATE token will still be around, though you won’t be redeeming those Proof of Play points for a treasure chest anytime soon.
Art and Games Set Loose to Roam
In a twist that’s both delightful and confusing, Proof of Play announced that the artwork and intellectual property tied to their Founder Pirates NFTs and Pirate Nation are now available for everyone under a CC0 license. So, basically, it’s a free-for-all! As for their Shiba Story Go! game, it’s found a new home with an unnamed third party and will continue sailing the seas of independence.
